What: Ecumenical Evening of Worship

Church of the Nativity presents an ecumenical evening of worship on All Saints Day, Sunday, November 1, 6:30pm at the church, 2175 Broadway. The gathering will be a mindful time to remember those we've loved and lost through death. It will also mark the passing of fall's light and the coming of winter’s cold. The Nepal Relief Trip Gala and Auction

Taking place on November 7, 2015 at 6 pm at CMU Escalante Hall, Third Floor. Tickets are $30. Authentic Nepali Food and Auction to benefit the Grand Junction High School relief efforts in Nepal. The Gala night ends with a raffle drawing for an all expense paid trip for 4 to the Broncos/Raiders game on December 13 in Denver. The raffle tickets are available from me or at the Grand Junction High School Main Office ($10 a ticket or 3 for $25). The raffle includes: Four tickets to the game; VIP parking pass; two nights stay at Hilton/Doubletree; $100 gas card; Dinner gift card for 4 to Fire on the Mountain restaurant. Need not be present to win the raffle. Contact Connie for more details, to donate, or to help out.

The Uptown Art Colony is a group of friends who have been painting together for a number of years.  We are excited to be giving our first art show.  It will be at UUCGV on Saturday, October 24th from 9:00 to 4:00 pm.  Two-dimensional art work done in all mediums and pottery will be for sale. Come check us out!  Questions? Call Peg Oswald at 243-4429.

The Grand Valley Interfaith Network (GVIN) warmly invites your spiritual community to participate in “Make A Difference Weekend” on Saturday and Sunday, October 24-25, 2015.  We’ll work together to wash walls and weed at two of our wonderful  local non-profit organizations:

SATURDAY, October 24:  Grand Valley Catholic Outreach

SUNDAY, October 25:  Western CO Botanical Gardens

Bring your gardening and yard tools to the Botanical Gardens and be prepared to wash walls at Catholic Outreach!

Let’s work together for two good causes while  getting to know one another, as well!
